Inspiring Innovation in Practice Conference 2017 Synopsis

Hosted by Hywel Dda UHB’s University Partnership Board; Hywel Dda University Health Board, Aberystwyth University, Swansea University and University of Wales Trinity St David’s ‘Inspiring Innovation in Practice’ Conference 2017 will celebrate the existing research and practice development from within this partnership and promote the opportunities for further innovative collaboration. The Conference will showcase how innovation, education and research, through collaboration between Hywel Dda UHB and Universities across the region, and beyond, has informed practice. Staff, students and researchers will be able to showcase their collaborative development and research, with delegates from across the region, providing the opportunity to celebrate the positive impact this is having upon patient experience and health. Participants will be able to exchange experiences, share learning and discuss opportunities for further collaboration in good practice development, innovative research and education. Conference Information The Conference will take place on 13th July 2017 at The Halliwell Centre, Carmarthen. With welcoming words from members of the University Partnership Board, the Conference will be opened by Vaughan Gething, Cabinet Secretary for Health, Wellbeing and Sport. The day will then begin with an engaging plenary session ‘Working Together to Drive Research and Innovation’. With a variety of research papers, case studies and posters being presented throughout the extended morning, there will be plenty of inspiring discussion to initiate new developments and spark ideas for future innovative collaboration. Following lunch there will the opportunity to attend a workshop providing time to share your thinking, be inspired and link with potential collaborators.
