On Wednesday January 29th, the Learned Society of Wales launched their ‘Wales Studies Network’ highlighting the research being conducted to better understand Wales and its relations to the wider world. The event welcomed researchers from across Wales, including postgraduate students who had been invited to showcase their research. Angharad Jones, one of our Centre for Excellence in Rural Health Research postgraduates, was selected to present her research exploring the barriers to rural nurse recruitment. We are delighted that amongst some stiff competition, Angharad was awarded joint first prize for her poster ‘Excitement of the city: Perspectives from Welsh urban nurses on the rural recruitment challenge.’ The Centre congratulates her on her achievement and her ongoing research.
